Carrie Bedingfield - National Women on their Way Awards 2010

Onefish Twofish Founder, Carrie Bedingfield, is proud to have been shortlisted in the High Growth category of the National Women on their Way Awards 2010. The High Growth Award is presented to a woman who has achieved sales revenue of £200k within three years of business start up. Women in this category typically have a growing team and a product or service that sets itself apart from any other. They will also be mentoring others with their ambitions.

Carrie is an ideal entrant in the High Growth category having set up marketing agency, Onefish Twofish at the age of 25. Carrie built the business from the ground up, with a clear vision for the future. A moodboard she created in the first few weeks of start up to set her objectives reveals a picture of a funky office; a diary dated three years hence with aspirational appointments; and the logo of an award she aspired to win. As Onefish Twofish has grown, Carrie has grown with it in capability and confidence taking her business from start up to today’s revenue in excess of £500k. The publication of Carrie’s first book, How to sell clever things to big businesses’, aged just 29, was a major milestone for both Carrie and Onefish Twofish, and her second book, The B2B Lead Generation Machine is to be published shortly.

Being shortlisted for this prestigious award is a huge achievement in itself, and it is an inspiration for women-owned businesses that are still fighting to change perceptions in a male dominated arena.  Carrie Bedingfield comments, “I am surprised, delighted and very proud to be nominated for this award.  I am particularly proud of the team here at Onefish Twofish. I believe in having a young team with a fresh approach, who are open to new ideas and not afraid to think outside the box. This award is testament to their dedication and commitment and I am delighted that the business has received this recognition.”   Carrie is a firm believer in growing and sharing knowledge within her team, she is also a tutor and mentor at the Oxford College of Marketing.

Organisers of the National Women on their Way Awards 2010 revealed that competition was particular high this year and that being shortlisted for the High Growth category was an achievement in itself.  The Awards lunch is to be held at the newly refurbished Aston Villa Football Club.
