We think a lead generation machine is the engine room of any B2B business. Without a systematic, surefire method for building relationships with new potential customers, your business growth rests on luck and rainmakers. Not clever.
There are lots of different ways to bring in leads but two fundamental principles stick out for us:
- Very few methods work in isolation. Think integrated campaign, not magic bullet.
- Be prepared to hook people at the very start of the buying cycle. It's more work, but it keeps your competitive tendering to a minimum and enables you to achieve 'trusted advisor' status.
The latter has big implications for lead generation. When Onefish Twofish generates a lead, the output is a new content-rich relationship, not a vendor application form.
